Cristy Connolly is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She is working towards weekend two of EMDR training and plans to complete play therapy trainings in the future.

She is originally from Southern California.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from DBU and her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UTSA.  Outside counseling, she teaches children acro tumbling at dance studios and performs as a circus artist.

She began her journey into mental health at sixteen when she started interning with sex trafficked orphans from Moldova.  From there, she started working with children at different advocacy centers around Texas. She completed her graduate internship at Jewish Family Services and UTSA’s neurofeedback center.   She also currently works at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center.

Cristy, along side her service dog, Blessing, uses EMDR, solution focused, narrative therapies, creative interventions, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, etc. to help her clients along their healing journey.

Focus: Adolescents and adults ages 12+, individual counseling, group counseling, trauma & PTSD, depression, anxiety, career counseling, coping skills, life transitions, LGBTQ+ individuals and families, self-esteem, non-suicidal self-harm, sexual abuse, sports performance, spiritual trauma etc.
