Laura Lowes, LPC Associate
Supervised by Amy Hutchinson, LPC-S, RPT-S
Hello, I’m Laura,
I bring over 14 years of experience in the helping profession, beginning in public education, where I spent nine years as a classroom teacher and am currently in my sixth year as a school counselor. It was through my work in the classroom that I discovered a deep passion for supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions.
In 2019, I earned my Master of Education in School Counseling from Angelo State University. I later returned to complete the additional coursework required for LPC licensure, further strengthening my clinical foundation and commitment to professional growth.
In private practice, I am dedicated to meeting clients where they are, providing a supportive, respectful, and collaborative therapeutic environment. I work with individuals across the lifespan and have a particular passion for supporting adolescents, teens, and adults.
My approach to therapy is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. I frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, along with other evidence-based strategies, to help clients develop insight, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they move toward healing, growth, and greater well-being.
