Terri Stowe, MS, NCC, LPC
My name is Terri Stowe. After seeing students struggle both emotionally and academically while working in my previous field of education, I became a professional counselor in order to better serve children, adolescents, and their families. I earned my Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Trine University and was later awarded my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I am currently working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist. I have worked with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, bullying, self-harm, low self-esteem, and feelings of abandonment among a variety of other issues.
As a counselor, I believe in meeting the client where they are at. I strive to help them process and communicate their feelings and support them while they build healthy relationships and work on the therapeutic goals that we set together. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Interventions, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy as part of my approach in session depending on one’s needs. My ability to empathize and show up authentically with clients helps create a safe space for every person to engage in therapy and get the help that they need.
